The Journey Begins Here

A sense of wonder and a lifelong passion

When something excites me or sparks my curiosity, I can’t help learning everything I can about it and then sharing it with people. That’s especially true of astronomy and space exploration. From serving as a tour guide at the National Air and Space Museum as a teenager, to serving as a NASA Solar System Ambassador, to authoring four books on the space program, and now as an enrichment speaker on cruise ships, it’s an honor to help people think about the search to understand our place in the cosmos.

I can’t imagine anything more satisfying than doing what I’m doing at this stage in my life. What could be better than conversing with fascinating people, peering into a dark sky far away from the lights of cities, talking about the endless stream of incredible new discoveries, and seeing the world from a state-of-the-art ship?

I hope that we’ll have the opportunity to meet on a voyage of discovery someday soon!
